Before School

Children arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and enjoy breakfast together. Afterward, we tidy up and offer drawing materials for creative expression, while others can unwind with CBeebies or chat in a relaxed setting. We walk to school at 8:25 AM. On some occasions, we use the car, ensuring flexibility based on weather or other needs.

Walk to School

At 8:15 AM, children put on their coats and shoes, pair up, and get ready for the school walk. We leave at 8:25 AM, forming a walking bus to Newlaithes Primary School, just a 10–15 minute walk away. This morning walk is a great way to start the day, offering fresh air and exercise.

School Pick Up

Children usually walk home in pairs as part of a walking bus, fostering teamwork and social interaction. They chat or sing along the way while practicing safe road crossing, with the pace set by the slowest child. This 10–15 minute walk provides fresh air and exercise. On some occasions, we use the car for pickup, ensuring flexibility based on weather or other needs.

Art & Craft

Our art and craft sessions inspire creativity while enhancing fine motor skills. With a teaching degree that includes a complementary subject in art and a specialization in early years, I excel at providing engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. From painting to clay sculpting, children explore various mediums to express themselves. Activities range from seasonal crafts to open-ended projects, fostering imagination, confidence, and self-esteem.

Dinner

Children are often hungry after school, and with bedtime typically between 7:00 and 8:30 PM, dinner between 5:00 and 6:30 PM is essential. For working parents, preparing a proper meal in time can be challenging, which is why we serve a nutritious, home-cooked dinner around 5:00 PM each day. Our approach to mealtimes promotes healthy eating, ensuring children have the energy to thrive while enjoying a positive dining experience.

Craft & Activities

Our routines and activities are tailored to reflect the interests and preferences of the children we care for. Regular input from children ensures that they actively participate in the decision-making process regarding what they would like to engage in, making their time with us truly enjoyable and effective.
